Want to send an app to your friend but don’t want to redownload it again? You can easily share APK files from one Android device to another. No internet needed and no Play Store involved
Here’s how to transfer APKs between devices in a few simple steps
Get the APK File
First you need the APK file of the app. You can download it from a site like net-mirror.app or extract it using a file manager
Apps like APK Extractor let you save installed apps as APK files so you can share them later
Use a File Sharing App
Once you have the APK file use any of these methods to transfer:
- Bluetooth – Works without WiFi but slower
- Xender or SHAREit – Fast and does not use mobile data
- Nearby Share – Google’s built in feature on newer Androids
- Send via File Manager – Many file manager apps let you send directly
Choose the method that works best for both devices
Enable Unknown Sources
The receiving phone must allow installation from unknown sources
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Apps or Security
- Enable Install Unknown Apps for the file sharing app used
This is required to open the APK file and install it
Install the APK
Open the received file using a file manager
Tap on it
Press Install and wait a few seconds
Now the app is ready to use on the new phone
Final Tip
After install turn off unknown sources again for safety. Also make sure the APK came from a trusted site like net-mirror.app to avoid issues
